The wwudrama production of Ebenezer Scrooge's Big Walla Walla University Christmas Show! by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen is coming to Village Hall this December. This fun twist on the classic story of “A Christmas Carol” tells how WWU's Village Hall went from being that miserly curmudgeon Ebenezer Scrooge's dank office into being wwudrama's vibrant theatrical home.
Come see Scrooge transform from a stingy money grubber through the power of the holiday season, with help from three ghosts and a very special choir. The characters you already know will all be there: the Cratchits including Tiny Tim, Scrooge's long-suffering nephew Fred, and a whole plethora of characters from Scrooge's past, present, and future.
Richard Wallace, wwudrama co-director, said, “I'm looking forward to seeing how the audience reacts to the story many of them already know, but with nods to the school many of them attended or are attending. And even if they know nothing about Walla Walla University, I think they'll be surprised and entertained by the script and our actors' performances.”
Don't miss your opportunity to uncover WWU history, participate in a show the whole family can enjoy, and get yourself into the holiday mood. Performances will be on December 5, 7, 8, 11, and 14 at 7 p.m. at Village Hall, located at 207 S. College Ave., College Place.
The cast for this production includes Job Constantino, Elizabeth Blackwelder, Emily Barbuta, Jonathan Schaffner, Kole GreyEyes, Faith Montes, Amanda Ramoutar, Curtis Morris, Kat Nelson, Richard Wallace, and Stevan Crary.
